NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME – SNVPMV

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a public service program initiated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, in 1969, marking the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth. It aims to instill the spirit of volunteerism, social service, and national integration among students across educational institutions in India.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Sarojini Naidu Vanita Pharmacy Maha Vidyalaya, Tarnaka, is dedicated to fostering social responsibility, community engagement, and personal development among students. Guided by the motto “Not Me But You,” NSS encourages active participation in various initiatives aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities, promoting health awareness, and addressing social challenges.

Through activities such as village adoption, environmental campaigns, health camps, and awareness drives, the NSS unit develops leadership qualities, teamwork, and a sense of civic duty among students. Join us in making a positive impact on society while nurturing your personal growth.

The NSS seeks to:

  • Develop Personality: Enhance students’ personal growth through social and community service.
  • Foster Responsibility: Instill a sense of social responsibility and civic engagement.
  • Promote National Integration: Encourage harmony among diverse communities and regions.
  • Contribute to Community Development: Address real social issues through direct action and collaboration with local bodies.
  • Health Awareness Campaigns: Organizing blood donation drives, vaccination camps, and health checkups.
  • Environmental Conservation: Conducting tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and promoting sustainable practices.
  • Education and Literacy: Teaching underprivileged children and promoting adult literacy programs.
  • Social Awareness: Awareness campaigns on issues like gender equality, substance abuse, road safety, and digital literacy.
